We stayed at the wonderful Muxnaw Lodge while touring the Beara Peninsula in April 2013. We had heard wonderful things about the Inn and Hannah. All true, the rooms are large and comfortable, ours looked out over the water, the bathroom was bright and cheery. Breakfast was delicious with homemade muffins and bread, all served fireside in a lovely dining... More

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Kenmare thanks to Hannah, our gracious hostess, who gave us many suggestions on what to see and what to do. We particularly liked the Wild Garlic restaurant and the breathtaking sights of the Ring of Beara without having to follow all the tour buses. The lodge was well maintained, a ten or... More

Muxnaw Lodge is so calm and peaceful. The room was huge, and immaculately clean. There is good parking facilities round the back. The lodge is tastefully decorated with lovely antique furniture. Breakfast was excellent, the tables beautfiully laid with white linen tablecloths, a lovely fire in the background. Homemade bread and scones and also homemade jams. Hannah was a lovely... More

We only stayed one night at Muxnaw Lodge but wished we could have stayed another few nights. Hannah was one of the friendliest innkeepers we encountered on our trip! Although it is a short walk to town, Hannah gave us a ride to town the evening we were there. Her home is beautiful and the antique furniture is all so... More

We were in Kenmare for a wedding, and wanted a place to relax before and after the big day. We struck gold! We were given a lovely large room overlooking the garden and water. It is an old, well-built house and so quiet. Lovely large bed, and large bathroom with a tub that we took a long soak in! Hannah... More

Kenmare was a wonderful place to visit, and Muxnaw was the perfect place to stay. Hannah took such good care of us, and we enjoyed visiting with her very much. The setting is a 5 minute walk out of town, high on a hill, in a beautifully updated 200 year old house. Hannah is one of the high points of... More

This is the perfect place to stay in beautiful Kerry County. Close to the Ring of Kerry but also the remote, wild, magical (and less touristy) Beara peninsula. The house itself looks grand and inviting and Hannah Borland is a wonderful and warm host who makes you feel completely at home from the moment you walk in the door. Built... More

The Lodge is a very unique B&B in Kenmare, a short walk into town. Hannah made us feel very welcome in her updated, comfortable home. We miss her !!

My parents and I stayed in a room at Muxnaw for 3 nights. The lodge was charming with some nice antiques, especially the armoire in our room. The dining area was lovely and we really enjoyed the fresh scones and marmalade each morning by the fire. Hannah, though, was the highlight of our stay at Muxnaw. She made great recommendations... Just returned from a lovely stay at Muxnaw Lodge. Our hostess was warm and welcoming, the breakfast (especially the warm brown bread!) was wonderful and served in a cozy room with a view of the bay. Kenmare was charming with lively pubs featuring Irish music and raucous sing-a-longs. Our room had a sweeping view of the harbor and the hills... More
