Our four night stay at Abbey Court was a delightful experience. Brendan and Ger are lovely hosts and extended a warm greeting. After we were served coffee and shortbread cookies, Ger took time to explain sites to see in and around Kenmare. The exquisite sitting rooms at Abbey Court exemplify a serene place to relax with various reading material and... More

We were really looking forward to out trip to the abbeycourt based on the many great reviews and it did not disappoint. When we arrived Brendan greeted us warmly with coffee and carrot cake. Our oom was well appointed and the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The view from the room and seating areas was... More

We stayed at Abbey Court for two nights towards the end of our trip to the west and south coasts. We chose it for the location and the family apartment as we were travelling with our two teen-aged children. The location was great--very near Ring of Kerry, Beara Peninsula, and Molls Gap. Our itinerary got a bit disjointed because the... More

We stayed here with our friends the hunters and found Abbeycourt to be the most welcoming place we have ever stayed in. We booked last October and our main reason for coming on our first trip to Ireland was to find out about our ancestors who lived in the area but emigrated around 1915. Ger got in touch with a... We stayed here from the 21st to the 24th of March 2013. The location is central. The residence is homely and comfortable and the host, Brendan, is extremely helpful and friendly. The views from the house are stunning as it faces onto a picturesque lake and it is a great area to take a country walk. Our stay here was... More

We stayed in room # 4 --were there for a week Perfect private location, comfortable beds-- great for quiet sleeping. Abbey Court is as pretty inside as it is outside with its rounded tower. Our host, Brendan and his wife, Ger, made our stay pure pleasure. Brendan gave us a lift into town several times. A highlight of our stay... More

A real find in the beautiful little town of kenmare.A group og four of us stayed here last July in the beautiful apartment. It had a well equipped kitchen and even had a picnic basket which we used for our trip to Skellig. The rooms were very well presented and very comfortable. Breakfast was better than any hotel or bed... More

A really delightful place to stay. Brendon and his family welcomed us graciously into their beautiful family home which is set amid a large garden and overlooks the water and the mountains. It was also very peaceful as it is set well back from the road although only a 8 minute walk to downtown Kenmare. The room was very comfortable... More
