We stayed two nights with Mary enjoying her hospitality and comfortable rooms. It was our base for The Ring of Kerry and The Dingle Peninsula. The town of Kenmare was a short 5 minute walk. Great pubs and interesting history. Mary's soda bread was the best we had in Ireland and her oatmeal was just right. More

We loved our stay at the Ashfield house. Mary was a great hostess and greeted us with a warm welcome. The rooms felt as if they had just been updated, they smelled new and clean, and the same for the bathrooms. The bed was amazing, I could have slept for a month! The bathroom was even amazing, with a bright... More

We stayed at the Ashfield in early March 2012. Mary,Paul, and "Pippa" greeted us with a warm Irish welcome, tea, scones, and wonderful black currant jam Mary made. Our room was comfortable and had great views. Mary's breakfast was the best we had on our 10 day trip. I agree with the former poster about the fabulous French toast! We... More

We stayed for one night in Sept 2011 and just loved it, it was definitely the nicest B&B we had stayed at during our week in Ireland. We found it totally by chance so we were thrilled. The tea and biscuits in the living room when we arrived were SO welcome. The room (rm 1 we think) was so spacious and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2011. Fantastic! By far the largest room and bed out of all B&Bs we stayed at. Our view from our room was amazing. This is a little bit out of town, but we walked it a few times and it took maybe 10 minutes at the most. The breakfast was fantastic as... More

This was our longest stop at any B & B on our trip and Mary made it a very good one. Our bedroom was very large with room to set up our suitcases which was great. The bathroom was smaller but had a terrific shower. Only disappointment was the Wifi which was iffy. But we were able to get on... More
