We stopped by for a break from the afternoon drive, and for a pint. The owner was very nice, and served us a good meal of vegetable soup, and sandwiches. It was very good, and we enjoyed some good conversation with the food. This is what Ireland is really about, good people, and good food. Stop by and enjoy the... More

We spent 5 days at the Bothar and loved every minute. It is a family run place that feels like a home away from home. The owners are always willing to provide information on the area and the pub is the best! One word of caution- if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the pub-... More

The owners were lovely and welcoming, even though we were soaked to the skin. Helped us dry out, fed us well. More

We stayed in this delightful pub, which is at the foot of Brandon Mountain, while walking the glorious Dingle Way in June. Our large, clean, modern room overlooked a hillside dotted with sheep and a picnic table where we enjoyed ales before an excellent dinner in the pub. Throughout our week on the Dingle peninsula we were blown away by... More

We stayed here while walking the Dingle Way because we wanted to be as close as possible to Brandon Mountain for the walk to Cloghane. An Bothar was remote, but warm and comfortable, not especially modern, but with a very nice large guest lounge with tea and coffee making equipment and a good selection of books. Our room was large... More

An Bothar is absolutely perfect if you're hiking the Dingle Way. During our hike we had a choice: we were at a perfectly good spot to stay or we could hike 5 more km to get to An Bothar. Totally worth it. An Bothar is in a beautiful location in a very small village - with wonderful views of the... More

We had a wonderful stress free stay. The food and service was excellent. We had the use of a very spacious and comfortable guest room, where we could relax and make tea and coffee. The double room was airy and comfortable, very clean and welcoming. We looked out onto breath-taking scenery. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. More

We hiked the entire Dingle Way, and stayed here before crossing over Mt Brandon to Cloughane. What a great place. Excellent rooms, excellent food, very friendly and helpful hosts. This was our 5th B&B on the Way, but the first to have a bathtub to soak my aching feet from hiking all day. More

Stayed at the An Bothar Pub on a stormy day, waiting for the weather to clear to pack up over mountain to Cloghane. Wonderful family run B&B, spacious room, large bath, overall very comfortable, warm, friendly and very accommodating. The location is perfect for those walking the Dingle Way and the nearby stone fort is a plus for those stranded... More
