The setting of the house is spectacular and hard to match certainly unbeatable. Lough conn twinkling in front of the lawn to the sea, the nephew mountain behind. The house is in beautiful condition and you feel welcome to relax. We felt like a guests in a comfortable home. We stayed for one night with dinner but would like to... More

Barbara and I travelled to Enniscoe House for New Year's Eve. We considered ourselves to be quite brave as we were going spend the evening with a group of what my daughter calls - randomers! The house is charming and cosy while being really spacious. We were given the 'Major's room' which is enormous with a great bed and an... More

We hired one of the self-catering cottages attached to the House but took advantage of dinner in the hotel twice. The house is superb with welcoming fires and historic furniture and paintings. Dinner was nicely chosen and excellent quality with a choice of two dishes as a starter, main and dessert plus a soup and cheese. The wine list was well... More

Our 4 days days at Enniscoe House, while on a family research trip, were a highlight of our trip to Ireland! From our arrival through the front door, we felt as though we were part of the family. Our room was beautiful, oversized and comfortable. The house and grounds are both beautiful and historic. Susan and her son DJ were... More

The stay cost more than $300 per night, so we expected to be staying at a high quality country house. The house is in a beautiful and peaceful location, and the innkeepers are very kind. But the house is worn out and definitely not worth the money. The mattress was very old and lumpy, the blanket was stained, and the... More

We are very disappointed to learn that that you did not enjoy your stay at Enniscoe House. Enniscoe is our family home and it is very important to us that guests enjoy their experience. To address a particular issue the mattress was new last year but it may be softer than some people might like. With an historic house we... More

This Manor House has been in the same family for 13 generations!! Originally built in the 1730's there is tremendous history and a very unbelievable story behind the heritage of the house. Be sure to sit in front of one of the fireplaces relax, enjoy a drink and talk to DJ (or his mother Susan) about their family's history with... More

Enniscoe House is my most favorite place in the West. The breakfasts are absolutely the best in the whole of Ireland I have every experienced. Dinners are also sublimely delicious with the entire package wrapped in an aura of hospitality which is unmatched for miles around. Price is so reasonable and this gem of a place will always be on... Stayed three nights and were given 'The Major's Room' which had a fine view across the lawns towards the Lough. The room was enormous with a very large bathroom containing an antique toilet , a wonderful free standing bathtub and a separate shower . The downstairs rooms are charming with family portraits and heirlooms going back many generations and the... More

We stayed 3 nights in a 4 Poster Room in this lovely Georgian country house overlooking the Lough. In fact it had a second bedroom through which we walked to our bathroom. Our room was spacious and comfortable, although a separate shower in the bathroom would have been a bonus. Guests can wander freely round the lovely gardens which are... More

The highlight of our 8 night trip to Ireland's West in April was our visit to Enniscoe House. The house, its decor and surrounding countryside were dreamy. Hospitality was first rate. Susan Kellet was a delightful, engaging host. Dinner was divine, the wine list comprehensive and breakfast exceptional. Our lake view (Medallion) bedroom was massive with a fireplace, four poster,...
