We were hiking the Kerry Way which led us to the sleepy camel. Until then we had a rough trip but we found a very relaxing place in chris's hostel. The sleepy camel is a very social place we people can sit infront of a fire and read a book, cook or have a chat with the other travelers. Chris... More

This is a great place for families,I stayed with my daughter in a twin, didnt charge me for my daughter who was 6, amazed to realised the 22.50 included breakfast, I couldnt recommend this place highly enough, the atmosphere is so welcoming and laid back, big sofas, books, tv, spacious place spotlessly clean, staff so friendly and accomodating, loved stay,... We went to enjoy the Glenbeigh Festival and were not disappointed with the accommodation or the festivities. The staff at The Sleepy Camel were very welcoming and gave us useful info about the weekend. It is located right in the village with good parking, so we didn't need to drive anywhere to enjoy the festival. The rooms were simple and... More

Despite - or rather - thanks to the heavily constant precipitation we (I and my German girlfriend (I'm Scottish)) enjoyed a very clean, comfortable, and friendly stay with our kindly helpful gentile host Jenny and would recommend a stay here to all-and-sunder gypsies, travelling salesmen and auuthentic tourists. THANKS ! It's pure great here ! : ) x More

I spent almost 2 weeks at the Sleepy Camel and couldn't recommend it highly enough. I was travelling on my own and was made to feel very welcome by Jenny and Chris. The accommodation is kept spotlessly clean and there is a well equipped kitchen if you don't want to go out to eat. It is very good value (and... More

Excellent stay in this very well maintained place. Unilimited access to internet. rooms are very nice. The place is managed by a young couple who really make the difference by being so nice and welcoming. Place is very affordable - around 22 euros for a bed with breakfeast. Nice sofas, books and TV to relax. The aera is also very... More

Stayed in the hostel for one night. It has a great central location. Online, we had booked a double room, however when we arrived we were given a twin room as there were no doubles available. The staff however were very accomodating and assisted us in joining the beds together. We booked a room with a shared bathroom, but it... More

More of a hotel than a hostel, spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Right in the middle of Glenbeigh. Nice kitchen with complimentary supples (milk, bread, etc) More
