An old and historic building, I like how they kept that feeling by the antique furnishing. If you expect a modern and generic hotel, do not stay here. However, if you are looking for a place that has some personality with truly nice people, you should experience this. With all the little extras everywhere like books and decorations, everything was... More

I really don't know where to start on this one guys, if one was looking for a welcome that encommpasses all the genuine warmth and caracter that South Kerry has to offer, i reckon The Olde Glenbeigh Hotel would be where one should start, From the rustic, but very comfortable bar/lounge offering a really tasty menu, which on ordering emerged... when you arrive, you receive a good old friendly irish welcome. the staff go out of there way to make you feel at home. in my opinion the mark of a hotel is when you arrive late for breakfast. most if not all hotels would turn you away. but not the olde glenbeigh. so you and your partner can relax... Charming looking from the outside. Great bar/pub inside. Rooms are antiquated and need updating. Bathrooms were especially bad. Walls are thin and soundproofing is non-existant. With all the sounds and wind we joked that we were staying in a haunted house.

hi steve , I am sorry you didnt enjoy your recent stay with us. our bedrooms are indeed furnished with antique furniture as is in keeping with the age of the building. The hotel was built in 1972 and is one of the oldest in Ireland so this might also explain some of the noises you heard. I can assure... More

We stayed at Taobh Coille B&B and our host recommended this place for dinner. We went there 3 days in a row, since we like it so much. It's a nice traditional place with good quality food and great value for money. Example: They offer an early bird 3 course dinner for 15 €.

The hotel was used as a base for a walking weekend - Friday to Sunday. The value was excellent and all other aspects of the hotel were very good. The owners and staff were welcoming and very helpful, giving good advice on walking issues in the local area and dispensing local knowledge generously.

Going there for many years for unpretentious good food. We had steaks, turbot, salmon and a variety of starters including beautiful chowder. All of these were of top quality served in this charming old style setting.

Having spent a day on the Ring of Kerry, fishing at Waterville, we decided to drive back towards Killorglin. As we drove through the pretty village of Glenbeigh, we stopped at this old hotel for something to eat. It is a little lower than the road and is quite unassuming from outside. Going into the dim interior, I wasn't sure... More

My friend and I saw this charming place in the small town of Glenbeigh as we were driving through town to Shannon to catch a flight back to the states. Am I glad we happened to stop. It was a drizzly, cold day that was transformed when we entered the Glenbeigh Restaurant/Bar. The restaurant welcomed us with a warm, cozy... More
