Having celebrated my partners surprise 50th birthday in the dining on Saturday 19 May I must put it on record the fantastic night it was. The hotel staff, food and accommodation was excellent . I booked the Commodore with the help of a very professional and well mannered young man named Eoin McCarthy and I observed on the night he... More

I was part of a large group of people booked into the Commodore for a weekend event at the start of May. On arrival, the receptionist (Jess) checked to see if we could use the car park, but we were told it was full, but that the parking charges outside wouldn't apply till 10 the following morning. We tried back... More

The rooms are spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. .A home from home with a relaxing atmosphere. the staff from housekeeping, dining room, bar and reception are a credit to the establishment, being courteous, smling and always helpful. The food is excellent and very reasonable. Have stayed there... More

The hotel maybe older but her bones are lovely and reminded us of another elegant era. Staff were very informative/helpful and professional. (Secured parking pointed out points of interest, suggested we not miss the Titanic Memorial.) More

This hotel is good, not great. Its winning feature are the "Sea view" rooms that overlook the boardwalk and Cork harbour. We woke up the next morning to beautiful views of the water and Spike island. You also get to see ships approaching the harbour which I enjoyed. The room itself was large and ok, a bit dingy. Bed wasn't... More

The Commodore is a hotel steeped in history..so don't go expecting boutique hotel glamour! What you will get is a stunning setting overlooking Cork Harbour, good food and the friendliest staff you will ever encounter..particularly at reception and in the restaurant. Booking a seaview room is a must. I have stayed at the Commodore several times in a variety of... More

We drove over from Kilarney to see the 100 year anniversary of the Titanic. While in town we stopped in for a pint and some food in the bar. We had a great lunch and service and the prices were very reasonable. We would recommend stopping by if for nothing else just to see the old hotel for the history. More

We stay here in this hotel for one night in a family room which was lovely and spacious with a double bed and 3 singles. The room was directly looking out to the sea which was beautiful first thing in the morning. We had 2 kid with us aged 7 and the attention the staff paid to them was wonderful... More
