Stayed here for a few nights in september 2010. It's quite a big house, so it feels almost like a small hotel, yet with that personal touch you get in a B&B. Even though I was traveling solo, I was lucky to get a room with a rather large double bed with a beautiful view over Baltimore bay. The room... More

This place really is excellent. You walk up to a picturesque building sitting on small, well landscaped hill. Inside you're greeted by the proprietor with tea and homemade scones - which you can enjoy in the cosy lounge right in front of the fireplace. I could stay in that lounge a whole week. The rooms are impressively large, clean and... More

What a wonderful B and B. Marguerite greeted us at the door, and even though there was a mix up with our reservation (she had us down for the next night), she had a room for us...no problem. The room was huge with lots of space and enough beds to comfortably fit a family even though there was just the... More

I stayed for 2 nights in Rathmore the welcome the breakfast was lovely but we were given room downstairs and it was like a basement room as there was a high wall right outside window and it was covered with weeds. Very depressing room. I am sure there was lovely views from upstairs just dont take downstairs like I did!... More

We're just home from our best B&B experience ever. Over five days we found people in the entire district around Skibbereen very friendly. Even so, Rathmore House is exceptional. It has ample safe parking above a steep drive that ensures a superb view over a sheltered bay where there's always something going on. There are three rooms on the ground... More

When Marguerite greeted us by name upon arrival, we knew we were in the right place - in more ways than one. Within minutes, we were tucking into a late-afternoon cuppa tea with homemade scones and jam. Talk about feeling the "cead mile failte"... very cozy room with panoramic views. Wonderfully comfortable bed, compact bathroom but with a great shower.... More

Margurite was very warm and welcoming after a long drive that was later than planned. She had a fire in the common room that was nice and warm, we skipped the offered tea/coffee and scones Since we were ready for dinner at the late hour. Margurite recommended Sibin Pub down the road. One of the best meals we have had!... More

A lovely warm welcome from Marguerite O'Driscoll with a roaring fire, tea and home made scones. We had a room with a fantastic view of Baltimore Harbour - good value.
