I stayed here with family in April 2011 for a big family reunion. The rest of my family were in two large rented houses in the town. I like a hotel though and this was really lovely. Very modern comfortable rooms and there was a little annex room which made it possible for 4 of us to stay in the... More

This place was nice when I visited it with my wife last year - but it's now gone into liquidation. Just letting everyone know! More

They had a room available for us at 9:30am after a long flight and drive up from Shannon which was very much appreciated. The room was larger than I expected and the bathroom was new and spotless. Staff was scarce but very helpful. We did not eat dinner at the restaurant but the breakfast was ok and plentiful. Short walk... More

The hotel was exactly what we needed: lovely location -- proximity to Burren and coast -- good layout with a nice room for gathering with friends, very friendly staff (although a bit overworked), agreeable pub (danced to a good band providing a mix of originals and covers). Had I more time, I would have availed myself of the spa services... More

Just returned from a wonderful three day two nights supervalue getaway break in the Burren, Co.Clare. We stayed at the Burren Coast Hotel -which was perfect for what we were after. The hotel has a fantastic location - a gateway to the Burren itself. The rooms were perfect - beds fine, everything clean and tidy, twin beds put together which... More

We stayed for two nights at the Burren Coast Hotel. We liked the stylish interior, the room was spacious and comfortable. The best about this hotel is the spa. After hiking through the Burren in the Irish rain we enjoyed very much relaxing in the spa. There is a bar, which is nice in the evening. The food was ok,... More

This hotel looks great, but so much is wrong. They are minimally staffed with no one at reception. The room looked good at a glance, but the king bed was 2 twins pushed together so my husband and I kept falling into the crevice between. The duvet was so small it couldn't cover us both. The shower spewed water all... More

We stayed at the Burren Coast for a few nights recently. The building is beautifully designed and is very unobtrusive, fitting in very well with the existing village and limestone landscape. The location is fantastic, right by the harbour in Ballyvaughan and a short walk from the nearby village. Although we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, we had a... More

The staff could not do enough for all of our group and nothing that we asked for was too much trouble for them. Would I go back again ? I have already booked!! The Irish Cead Mile Failte is alive and well at the Burren Coast Hotel Ballyvaughan for sure. More

We arrived on a friday evening, checking in was quick and easy, even though there was no-one on the reception and we had to go get the barman to check us in. The room we had was clean and spacious, with a lovely big comfortable bed. Unfortunately the tv only had 2 stations, RTE 1 and 2. The bathroom was... More
