“Comfortable convenient accommodation”

Stayed for a weekend late March and the accommodation was quiet out of season. The room was basic but comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was excellent and staff/proprietor friendly. Tea rooms and shop at The Stables definitely worth a visit during any stay in Birr for coffee and cake! More

Stayed here again (4th time). The owners have closed the restauraunt part down - we were very disappointed - they have changed it into a coffe shop and an "emporioum" that sells the most beutiful furnishings, jewlery, gifts, linen etc. dispite the closure of the resturant the rooms and location made up for everything - it definelty is the best... More

bIRR, kINNITTY county Offlay grand and brilliant all in one. Love the Stables and the Chestnot bar in Birr. True Irish hospitality not found often. Please say hello to the proprietor Miss Fay at the Chestnut More

Last Easter we visited Birr, a beutiful town, ended upstaying in The Stables Townhouse & Restaruant. We had found it by reading a previous review on trip advisor. It lived up to all our expectations.
