The location is perfect for surfing, socialising in Lahinch and touring Clare. Pricewise it’s cheap and cheerful. The bedrooms are clean and tidy. There is limited parking outside the lodge however; it is possible to park at the next-door hotel for a few euro a night. Even at busy times there is ample parking here. The staff are friendly. I... We stayed inthe West Coast Lodge as a small group of friends for the weekend. Overall we found it welcoming, the staff were friendly & accomodating and the place had a relaxed atmosphere. It was a very short walk to the village & beach. On the downside I found the parking situation very poor, only 3 or 4 off street... More

Hi, Thank you for your review and firstly it nice too now that you found the Lodge so welcoming. I am howewer very disapponited with some aspects for us here as a hot shower is something we pride ourselves on. There was however a major problem with our electrics on the weekend just gone by and I do fully acknowledge... More

Myself and a group of mates were in Lahinch at the weekend to try our hand at surfing and decided to stay here. We were not disappointed, the hostel is located at the end of the town and is less than a five minute walk from anything Lahinch has to offer, which for the size of the town is a... More

This is a nice place to stay with friendly staff who are happy to help you. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The lodge provides the services of a hostel with some nice extras like towels and nicely furnished rooms. The breakfast was simple like what you would expect from a hostel with cereals, fruit, coffee etc.... More

A bunch of pals and I normally visit LAhinch on bank holiday weekends for activities and fun times. We normally stay in The Links holiday homes, which are truly awful. Their terrifying dampness is not for this review however. The West Coast Losge was our accommodation of choice this time around. Duncan was very kind and helpful, and has lovely... More

After having booked this back in November I was really looking forward to staying here for the weekend and also to the "the wondrous smells of Carol's fresh baked breads & scones" which was so clearer stated on their web site but it was far from that. When we had breakfast on the first morning, the room was cold and... More

I arranged for my partner and a friend to stay here whilst on a surf trip. They had a bit of a crisis and were forced to return to the UK early. The team at west coast lodge and Duncan promised that the remainder of the stay would be refunded to us due to the unforeseen circumstances. As the stay... More

I stayed at the West Coast Lodge while in Lahinch for a month long surfing vacation in August. I had stayed there once in the past and had a very good experience. It was even better this time. First I want to say that the staff are class, really great customer service far beyond any hostel I have ever stayed... More
