We were over 20 people - mostly older adults - staying for a week in May. The rooms were OK. Heating just about adequate. Kitchen coped with the hostel being over half full. Dining room and sitting sooms were very good. Drying room and clothes washing were problematic. Good place for views, evening stroll and getting to different mountain groups.

Would give it 1 star, but the nice staff and location save it from that fate. 12 of us unfortunately stayed here on a cycling trip the length of ireland. The place was damp and smelly, washing was hanging in the "sauna" and generally the place was dirty. We decided not to chance the breakfast and instead decided to cycle the 40km to westport. Do not go there!!
