Stayed here one night. Really amazing view to fjord! Rooms were nice and clean. Nice staff. Bad thing was that town center (Leenane) was 6 (!) kilometers away. I didn´t have any food and also in hostel wasn´t anything, so I had to walk there and back. I wish I would´ve known before that they don´t have any food or... More

We did a bit of walking this weekend and were very glad to make it to Sleepzone Connemara in the end! It wasn't easy for us, but we did it! And it was worth it. Friendly and very accommodating staff, great bathrooms with scolding hot showers, comfy beds and incredible surroundings! They even run a small shop with food and... More

Stayed here over may bank holiday for a night with fellow cyclists, Joanne was most welcoming, and after long days cycling it was nice to relax at hostel for the evening before we headed into town for a meal. The views were fantastic from hostel

My husband and I stayed here whilst doing a tour around Connemara, from the minute we got off the bus we loved absolutely everything about the hostel. The road leading down to the hostel meanders through rhododendruns which were beginning to bud, the sun was glorious and we were met by Joanne, the perfect host, who was very friendly and... More

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. It was a pleasure having you stay with us and we really hope you can make it back some day, maybe when the rhododendrons are in bloom, they are beautiful. More

I stayed at the hostel recently with my 2 children and we had a fantastic stay. The location is really fabulous with great walks and breathtaking scenery. There are lots of activities available locally for the entire family to enjoy. The hostel itself was clean and spacious and had a lovely friendly and homely atmosphere. The staff were very friendly... More

You can stay in a very nice b&b for the price we paid for two at this hostel. The room smelt of damp. The shower had a push button, murky brown water and was so small you could not close the door. If you were not french it was not very friendly to non french (well beside the host, she... More

We were over 20 people - mostly older adults - staying for a week in May. The rooms were OK. Heating just about adequate. Kitchen coped with the hostel being over half full. Dining room and sitting sooms were very good. Drying room and clothes washing were problematic. Good place for views, evening stroll and getting to different mountain groups.

Would give it 1 star, but the nice staff and location save it from that fate. Still, the rooms were cold and damp, and there were small fruit-fly like insects piled up on the windowpanes (lots of them). They were on the ceiling as well. The carpets smelled of cigarettes. Had a 70s horror movie motel room decor feel to... More

12 of us unfortunately stayed here on a cycling trip the length of ireland. The place was damp and smelly, washing was hanging in the "sauna" and generally the place was dirty. We decided not to chance the breakfast and instead decided to cycle the 40km to westport. Do not go there!!
