We stayed for one night at the Split Rock Croft and were delighted by the whole experience. Helen and Graham run their traditional croft with devotion and attention and the contented looking pigs and highland cattle bear witness to their endeavours. We were there as a happy retreat into nature after Christmas and New Year and relished the wonderful views... More

A very special welcome from a couple with that magical mix - huge energy; a commitment to a very precious place and its environment; all about the heart! Oh ... and wonderful food and a cosy bed. Discovered with my Dad, and now I hope to be back before long as a treat with my wife, maybe even the kids.

Fetched with son (whose guest I was) from Lochinver by Helen after a glorious 7 hour tramp. The stay more than matched it. Delicious food for dinner and superb breakfast; almost all ingredients from the croft. A dram to greet me in the very comfortable newl- built guest wing. Amazing views with whole stay underpinned by such a welcoming couple.... More

Lovely accommodation, great breakfast. It was a treat after wild camping with children, who couldn't believe the luxury of it all! Hosts were lovely, and their private beach is truly wonderful. the family room even had it's own kitchen, making self catering possible for a longer stay. We'd certainly consider staying for longer, and wouldn't have to go very far... More

Helen and Grahams' croft is without doubt the nicest B & B I think I've ever stayed in. For a city dweller like me the peace, quiet, spectacular scenery and Helens' home grown food is just gorgeous. There are a choice of rooms all with panoramic views of the stunning landscape and you can wander down the hillside literally 5... More

Beautiful room and view, excellent food, fascinating place and great people. Well designed and executed place on a family croft. We went late in the season and had the option of dinner as well as breakfast. If you get the option, take it. Food and people are an experience not to be missed and the location is very special.

If you want to visit a genuine working croft, eat home grown/reared food and be surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Assynt, we can highly recommend this bed and breakfast, The hospitality was great, the room very clean and the pigs were adorable. Did we mention the private beach?

Wow what a start to a holiday! Split rock has a breathtaking location, amazing breakfasts and warm welcoming hosts. The room is immaculately clean with a brilliant view and Helen is a great host who has thought of everything (from Scotch in the room to proper coffee and a french press) The croft is gorgeous with the highland cows, piglets... Myself and my boyfriend had a great stay at Split Rock Croft and would recommend it to anyone. Our hosts were lovely and extremely hospitable, with the best breakfast to start each day. The breakfast was seriously the best either of us have ever had in a BnB. The house itself is recently built and finished to a really high... More

If you are lucky enough to be traveling in this beautiful part of Scotland consider booking in this first rate establishment and book for more than one night. It doesn't get better than Split Rock for location and accommodation. Helen and Graham's knowledge of the locale, local produce and their superb breakfast made of many homegrown ingredients makes for a... More
