We booked a one night stay here on our way down to Itay. It was going to be a bit of luxury! When we arrived we had been upgraded to a suite which was amazing! The room had everything you would need. The hotel has lovely grounds and a swimming pool. We ate in the restaurant which was amazing but... More

As we are passionate winter sporters, we are lucky to take advantage of regular stops at the chateau in winter. And as the summers are stunning in Savoy and there are as many outdoor activities to keep you fit and occupied, we take advantage again in summer and the autumn. It's a wonderful setting amongst a small vineyard looking onto... More

Gorgeous spot this, right up on a hill overlooking Old Chambery, big French chateau with vineyards in the grounds. First thing to say is that the Orangery Restaurant was properly good - one of the best meals I've had in France in a while. And the slight lack of facilities in the rooms (my shower was a bit Heath Robinson,... More

We just had an overnight stay here on Saturday night and quite enjoyed it. The inn is located on a hill north of city centre, so it offers peace and quiet but not convenience to town. Nice to retreat to. We took advantage of their promotion and had a bed and breakfast rate of 99e, which was fantastic value. We... More

Beautiful, beautiful room. For some reason we got a better deal at the hotel's website than other booking sites, 89 Euro a night, no breakfast included. The city is a jewel and the hotel itself is very charming. My young daughter was enchanted we were at a castle. The restaurant is on the expensive side and requires a reservation, but... More

We had a one day stay with one of our grown up sons. The building is very nice, a real chateau and the place is also very nice with wonderful views. Arrived by car, plenty of space to park. The staff was very helpful and nice as they were in all our e-mails contacts. The room for the three of... More

The hotel is a s,all chateux in the outskirts of Chambery and is ideal for the French Alpine region. We just stayed for one night en route but would have liked to stay for more. We got a very good discounted room rate through the internet which I would recommend because the advertised rack rates are rather steep. We got... More

The Ambience of Chateau de Candie is what we loved the minute we entered reception. It is a beautiful Chateau in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by lush green environment of grape vines, trees and lawns. A lovely pool area (cold and refreshing during summer) and a wonderful outdoor dining experience with gorgoeus food, excellent presentation and service. Great location... More

We found the Chateau de Candie on a road trip through the area and booked it at the last minute. We were upgraded to a luxury room and the staff could not have been friendlier. Huge, comfortable room, gorgeous chateau, and the most amazing breakfast. The night we spend at the Chateau de Candie was a highlight of our trip... More
