We liked it so much we extended our stay ... Great team looking after us and so nice to come back to an air conditioned villa after touring Kakadu. Mega hi-lite is the airboat tour with Scotty of the amazing wetlands that surround Wildmans, one of the best travel experiences we have had !

Well what do you expect staying out in the middle of the bush? Noises that go hoot and squeal in the middle of the night. Also incredibly passionate and friendly staff, great food and wonderful guideded tours on the river, through the billabongs and wetlands. The wildlife and scenery are magnificent here. We sat on the porch and soaked up... More

At $700 a night we expected to be greeted with smile and red carpet instead we were told that dinner was being served and would not be shown to our rooms until after dinner. We ate with filthy clothes and screaming kids in tow then made our way to the rooms in darkness toeing our luggage behind us. One of... More

We booked this as a group and stayed three nights. While it is not cheap, it is good value for money unlike other places in kakadu. The accommodation is either separate villas or luxury tents - both are good but we were glad we'd paid the bit extra for the villas so we had aircon. The staff were very friendly... More

We only stayed for one night as we had so much else to do in the week we had in the territory. But, so glad we treated ourselves to this fairly expensive but special place. We were met by Beau, who did a fantastic job of making us cool & very welcome. We were shown around and all the features and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in a lodge. Room was modern with floor to ceiling windows giving good views. By no means a cheap break but prices seemed normal for the area. Went on the airboat trip which was great and gave you a good appreciation of just what was around. Didn't do any other trips with Wildman but... More

Wildman is a WILDERNESS lodge...that means, you are amongst the Australian wilderness and the cycles of nature. You are situated smack on the wetlands- which are of course home to a huge amount of amazing flora and fauna including crocodiles and eagles- but also bugs including mosquitoes. If you travel to places like this you will have to expect to... More

Thank you for taking the time to submit such a comprehensive a constructive review of your staff at Wildman. We do appreciate it. As you have rightly said, we face the challenge of operating a premium wilderness lodge in a wetlands location, where of course bugs will be present at certain times of the year. The wet season was late... More

The Wildman experience was dreadful. We were booked for 3 nights but only stayed an hour. Waited at reception for 10 mins for someone to show up when we arrived. Was very hot and there were bugs and mozzies in our tent. No coils or zappers. Staff told us it will get much worse when it gets dark. Retreated to... More

I've got to say that I fell in love with this Lodge. We stayed in a Habitat Cabin which was very roomy and comfortable, with air conditioning (a must for us in the summer). The location is so special; it was Australia wilderness right out your cabin door. The Wallabies are wonderfully wild, present and put on a show. I... More
