We arrived late evening having been recommended Gjøvik Vandrerhjem as a good place to stay. The room was basic and comfortable with bunks and an ensuite toilet/shower room which is what I had requested. There was a table, seating and adequate storage for all our suitcases. With the name "hostel" attached to it, I was a bit suspicious of staying here....but I had a lovely cabin with comfortable mattrress and great heating as it is starting to get cold in Norway at night. Reception area personel were very helpful and kind and I would definitely stay here again if I am in Gjovik in the future.... More

stayed here for the norway rally 09 we found the cabin which sleeps 6 very good the main part of the hostel was very clean and warm the staff were very helpfull,breakfast was good with a good range.there was lots to do and you are not far from the town,there is a ski slope but they do not hire any... More
