Stayed here for a week at a conference, and can't praise the staff high enough, (especially Judith- I think- the lady on the reception at night) they were very friendly and accommodating. I accidentally spilled water on my bedsheets and the man at the desk came and changed them immediately. As mentioned in another review, there is a Wetherspoons below... More

We've just had a week long conference in Sunderland and booked out 47 family rooms in travelodge. The location is fantastic and the staff has been so friendly to us. More

Recently stopped at this hotel nothing fancy but as we were going to theatre ideal as only 2 mins away by foot. No facilities at the hotel and very few car park spaces. We arrived early and were not meant to check in untill 3 pm but went to reception for carpark permit and was told that our room would... More

Travelodge are cheap. Lets start with that, but for £50 a night its not that cheap when playing in the budget area of the hotel industry. Location is great and was right next door to where my morning appointment was so made sense to stay here. The pub down the stairs was cheerful enough and just along the road you... More

A travelodge so you get what you pay for, but has always been clean and tidy when I stop here which is a lot, very handy for restaurants and pubs as right in the heart of Sunderland. Staff are always pleasant here and I have stayed here from £15. < would not pay an expensive rate > More

I had a fantastic stay here. For business. Easy to find, great room, great view of the church, warm welcome and helpful staff. Meeting was cancelled, last minute late check in arranged with no problem. Wetherspoons next door allow you to have takeaway food if you prefer to eat in your room. Really pleasant stay after a bad experience at... More

This was our first stay at a Travelodge hotel and for what they charge it is excellent value if you book early and/or there are no major events in the area! Our requirement was for somewhere to crash when we went to see Take That in July 2011. We paid an extortionate amount for the room which I believe was... More

Stayed Friday and Saturday night for a hen do. Rooms clean, tidy spacious and everything worked ie shower TV. However this is the noisiest hotel Ive ever stayed in and because of this it is unlikely I would stay with my children. The hotel is in the city centre and next to a Wetherspoons which is great, and it isnt... More
