Air conditioning didn't work and the room was very hot. When I asked for it to be fixed I was given a desk fan which I had to leave on all night since the windows do not open. Service in the restaurant wasn't great although the food was ok. More

We stayed here in May 2012. I should have consulted tripadvisor feedback before booking. The negative feedback. This is a very 'tired' - unloved hotel - desperately needing rapid renovation - however the new owners seem not to have the necessary funding to carry it out in an expedient fashion. To illustrate this point - apparently there has been no... More

A group of us stayed at this hotel in April 2012. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The beds were all very comfortable. The hotel staff were very helpful and the breakfast was lovely. More

We stayed here when we went to the 2012 Grand National. The receptionist & all the staff were polite, friendly & helpful. We paid £85 for a B& B rate. Our room had been newly refurbished. It was spotlessly clean & we had a heavenly night's sleep in their comfy massive bed with loads of pillows. The room was spacious. There were... More

My family and I chose this hotel as our base for the Easter holiday weekend which included a meal for our extended family to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. We'd booked adjoining rooms with my wife and I in a double room, and our three children in a twin room with a pull-out bed for my 5 year old son.... More

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and my wife and I were really pleased to stay in newly refurbished room. It was well designed and great value for money. Room service quick and good value for my wife, albeit my burger was cheap and horrible. Did not have breakfast this time but historically been good. Again... More

Stayed 1 night for family birthday. Rooms on the second floor are beautiful, all recently renovated with ultra modern bathrooms, huge flat screen TV, fluffy towels, crisp white cotton bedding and the most comfortable, enormous bed EVER. The view was of an old disused industrial building which had its own unique charm and did not offend the eye in the... More

I have stayed at this hotel on four occasions and it has been recently refurbished. The rooms are large and the newly refurbished bathrooms are first class. The best features are the reception staff; room servicing is excellent; the breakfasts are unlimited and plenty of free parking. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Liverpool area... More

I am a member of the Leisure clunb for both myself and young 5 yr old foster son. For the last two month period, both the pool and hot tub heating system has been broken! Despite several complaints to staff and the completion of a 'complint form' - there has been no response! Staff are polite and sympathetic, although seem... More

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant could do with refurbishing, but it serves good food at a very reasonable price, Breakfast is a bit expensive at £10 a head. The swimming pool is great and open from early (6.30 am) to late (10 pm) on weekdays. The renovated rooms on the second floor are very comfortable, with... More
