The hotel is nice, the staff are rude and have clearly been issued with same emotionless glum expressions, they are unhelpful and you are looked upon as an inconvenience. Breakfast is a traumatic affair with no one taking you to a free table resulting in your table being occupied whilst at the awful cold congealed buffet. The tag line of... More

I cannot praise this hotel enough for the wonderful stay we have had this weekend. We had a family party, which was excellently coordinated, our rooms were good, the staff were polite, helpful and very friendly. Whatever we asked for was dealt with efficiently and promptly, and I have nothing but gratitude for making the whole event so wonderful. More

Great Hotel, lovely weekend - one minor irritation the first morning we went down for breakfast, restaurant was packed and the staff were struggling to cope and keep the buffet replenished. Equally, they totally ran out of marmalade - an english tradition. However, day 2 and all was calm and everything went well. A personal preference would be that hotels... More

From first glance, you can tell that this is a business hotel. The service was below average. The manager on duty was extremely rude and abrupt to my husband which put a downer on the occasion, particularly as we were celebrating a birthday. The reception and bar staff have not been properly trained. Every staff memeber that walks past in... More

The last time we stayed here was in July 2011 the facilities were good the room was nice but the breakfast was disappointing. The staff were running about but no progress was being made, cutlery was non existant and eggs plus a few other eatables were either cold or had not been replaced in the hot pans after searching we... Greeted by a miserable receptionist. Told there was a £15 charge for wi-fi, yet it states on the internet it is free! Stayed here in apparently a Junior Suite. Don't believe the photos-looks nothing like it. Photos are very misleading. Our room was no bigger than a standard room and had the smallest window-pointless. Really not worth the money. Room... The room was fabulously clean and bed enomous. View wasnt the best, but... More

Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by approximately 20 drunken people on the steps of the hotel at the entrance. This later transpired to be a hotel staff party. A great first impression, which was only going to improve as time went on. We checked in without problem and went to our room, which was last updated in... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights on a leisure break and found everything more or less ok. A little disconcerted by the heating not being on in the afternoon - we thought we were not operating the radiator control corrrectly. The staff on reception could not have been more helpful and were anxious to assist in every way.... More
