Probably this hotel was once good. The Reception staff (except for Joachim and one lady) were rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. This hotel is basic and serves the purpose if you want to be close the marina in Villamoura. Otherwise, it's not somewhere that we'd ever revisit. Although the hotel is situated near the harbor of Vilamoura it had his best time years ago. Only 1 elevator activated and staying at the 7th floor you can wait a long time. Was more than suprised when we arrived. Lovely open plan apartment with a bedroom off the sitting room. We stayed on the 5th floor which had a balcony which over looked the marina. The restaurants around the marina are 5 stars could not fault any of them. Well worth a stay. I'm planning my return for 2013 already.

It's more of an aparthotel. It's an old building, needing some extensive renovation. But the rooms are big and clean. A big balcony and living room. The good thing is the price. Specially considering the location. 50 meters from the marina. Breakfast is basic but does the job.

The Olympus is now a Luna hotel and has been renamed Olympus Suites. It is essentially an "aparthotel" which provides rooms which are self-catering (there is a microwave, fridge freezer and two hobs for knocking up a snack) with breakfast.
