Just visited The Tap Bar for lunch and what a disaster. Our order was pretty basic (chicken salad baguette with onion, chicken stripper wrap, side of chips, a coke and a coffee) Our food arrived before we got our drinks and the food that did arrive was wrong - received a sausage baguette and some chicken strippers without a wrap,... We stayed at the Tap Bar for one night when we were attending a wedding party at the adjoining Priory. There is adequate parking next door (Pay and Display) which is free after 6:30PM and on Sunday. The welcome was very warm and we were shown to our room when we were ready (we had to be dragged away from... More

This is a place we go for a girls lunch. Service is always good and I like to sit in the covered courtyard. Arrived for lunch at 1pm the other day and it was empty, seemed strange for a lunchtime. If the management read these reviews please get the jet washer out and clean the courtyard area floor, it is... More

I visited the bar with friends on several occasions in November, December and January for lunch and the experience ranged from great to poor. The food is moderately good and reasonably priced. We had sat in the front bar area with well-behaved children on two occasions but the third time were told children were not allowed and were packed off... More

Before I start I think It's important to point out that The Tap bar is NOT A BED AND BREAKFAST OR A GUEST HOUSE. It would be wrong to review it as anything more than a pub with accommodation. My Colleague and I booked a twin room at the Tap Bar as we were working at Glaxo Smith Klein. The... More

The room was fine on the surface, however the cleanliness of the room was a little below average. It would be helpful if all the rooms were numbered. I observed that there were only 2 numbered rooms. The manager should learn to deal better with customers. Her attitude was seriously lacking and unprofessional. Customer complaints can be frustrating but are usually... More

A few tweaks and this place could be very good indeed. Loved: the town centre location, easy walk from the station, good parking, friendly staff, comfortable beds, not expensive, quiet rooms overlooking the courtyard, no traffic noise. Not so keen on: no extra blankets in the room on a cold night, no hairdrier, noisy fridge in the room we had... More

We have stayed at the Tap Bar everytime we visit my daughter in Ware. The building is a grade 2 listed as are most of the buildings in the small town. When we stay we always have my grandson with us overnight and always ask for the same room - no longer need to ask as the manageress knows us.... More
