We stayed 2 nights in campsite 4. It was pretty easy to find(if you get to Gorda you've gone to far). The campsite is primatve, place for your small to medium tent, garbage can and a wooden cabinet to place a stove ,ice chest, ect. The view is anything but basic! It is a million dollar view of the pacific ocean. The only problem... More

This was a wonderful place to stay in Big Sur. A comparative bargain at around $200 a night. I stayed in the human nest the first night and an ocean-view yurt the second night. Both were great. The staff members were very nice and accommodating, and the restaurant and sushi bar were really good. Some of the food came from... More

We had so much fun and plan to return as soon as we can...The yurts are great! The view is amazing. The pool is refreshing! Not a better place to stay...We were in one of the closest yurts to the office/restaurant - the one with the ping-pong table inside. HUGE! It was windy that night and kind of loud in... More

Had a fantastic stay here. The Yurts are a great experience and one of the comfiest beds we've stayed in. Breakfast was self served but was great each morning (& now prompted the wife to go find a waffle machine herself). Also the Sushi Bar was great to sit in and watch the sunset. I hadn't had eaten much Sushi... More

After reading the glowing reviews here, we had high expectations. When you call yourself a resort and charge premium prices, you do raise expectations. The yurts are spacious circular tents which are nicely furnished. There is a sink in the room but no bath. Toilets and showers are located in the central pavilion and it is a long cold walk... More

Everyone's said it, but Treebone's Resort is a magical place. Camping, but not roughing it. It's a great place that is a happy medium when your family is split on just how close to nature each person wants to be. The Yurts are awesome. You can hear the waves, smell the pine and even if it's rainy and cold outside... More

Treebones strikes the perfect balance of allowing you to really immerse yourself in the Big Sur landscape while providing the comforts of civilization that allow you to enjoy it all in a sustainable way. I'm not a huge outdoor guy, but I do love to commune with nature. The hot tub, delicious food, hot showers, and friendly staff all allowed... More

I have wanted to stay at Treebones for quite awhile. It's usually booked, but we happened to get an available Friday night. I was surprised by the high rates at booking. After taxes, over $300 for a 4 person yurt. After the reviews, I thought it had to be worth it, though. I'm just glad one night was all that... More

We booked the nest for 2 nights. The nest is literally a woven wooden nest built up against a tree overlooking the ocean. It has a wooden ladder to climb up and a window in the back near the tree to peek out. There is no door- just the opening, and it is not water-proof (in fact you can see... More

I have wanted to stay in a yurt for some time, and this is a very luxurious way to experience it. We didn't use the pool, but enjoyed the sushi bar and restaurant. The staff was very helpful. We had a peaceful visit. The bathroom at night was the only difficulty, but I knew ahead and had brought a flashlight.... More
