Quite beautiful setting, superb and plentiful food, great ambiance, lovely rooms , friendly efficient service from the Management and staff ,,,,,, yes we enjoyed it!. To achieve that level of service in such a remote location is an achievement in itself,we really could not fault it, The trips were all enjoyable, particularly the reef trip. Shayne, Craig and Paul are all... More

There was nothing I could fault about this resort. The staff was friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. The food was without a doubt incredibly tasty and presented beautifully. The tours were great, with incredibly knowledgeable guides. The resort itself was just beautiful, quiet, relaxing, well maintained and just lovely. I would highly reccomend this hotel for couples... Spent four nights here in November 20011. We were caught up in the Qantas grounding and we were upgraded from a Queenslander Room to a Deluxe Retreat - thanks to our travel agent - which is a bungalow on stilts. It had a fabulous view of Weary Bay and lots of room inside and out. We were extremely comfy and... More

lived up to its reputation. Fantastic place, and the journey up there really makes it. I'd expected the wonderful setting, great food, relaxed atmosphere, etc etc. The most surprising thing for me was how much I enjoyed the company of the other people there and eating communally. The weather was spectacular when we were there - record amounts of rain... More

Great accomodation and views from both our rooms. As others have said, it is very remote. Your e-connection to the outside world only works when you take the little day trip looking for saltwater crocs up the Bloomfield River. Trails are steep and short. too short. But then, the focus of this place is on relaxation, not events. Be prepared... More

We stayed for 4 days in February 2011 in the Robinson Crusoe room, which was a perfect end to our 3 weeks in Australia, for our honeymoon. We couldn't have asked for any more from the amazing views, the tranquility and the service. Ben, Courtenay and the team were excellent, with nothing ever too much trouble. I have never met... More

What an outstanding place to wind down and relax. No internet, no mobile phones so immediately you have to stop and take in the spectacular views, the beautiful environment that is Cape Tribulation. Amazing food, great hosts and best of all the activities are outstanding. The local guides, great Aussie blocks who no the area so well and are a... More

The start of our trip to Bloomfield Lodge was rather earlier than we had expected with a fax sent to our B&B explaining we would be picked up at 6.45am. The reason for this it turns out is that Bloomfield is only accessible by boat and the tides mean that it is completely inaccessible at low tide. By the time... More
