I love staying here when in Canberra. It is ideally located but out of the way of the hussel and bussel. The place is tranquil and relaxing and the staff friendly. I did not have the breakfast package on offer as it is not Ceoliac Friendly, though its a good reason to nic up the road to Deeko's Gluten Free... More

With friends, we often travel to Canberra to attend the National Folk Festival, held every Easter. This year we stayed at The Parklands Apartment Hotel, sharing a two bedroom suite. One bedroom had a queen bed, the other two twin beds, squashed into a small room. Both bedrooms had ensuites that had seen better days. In fact, the exhaust fans... More

I had to go to Canberra for a sports carnival with my children. Check in time was 2.00pm, their carnival started at 2.00pm, so we arrived in Canberra one hour earlier hoping we would be able to check in, when I arrived and asked reception, they told me "no" because there were no rooms ready. I thought this was odd,... More

We had two nights in this hotel which is well situated to visit all the main sights in Canberra. Dickson is a self cotained suburb of Canberra about 10-15 minutes driving time from the main sights. Unusually for a capital city, there is plenty of parking in the centre of Canberra and the vast majority of it is free, traffic... More

We stayed in the Parklands hotel for 3 nights in Dec 2011. This is our second stay in this hotel, and for this trip we chose a 1 bed apartment. Very happy with the decision, as the kitchen was equipped with a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave & cook top (no oven). The apartment also had a washing machine &... More

We stayed in Parklands for 10 nights in Jan 2012 in a 1-bed apartment. It is a short walk to Dickson shops (including a huge Woolworths) and restaurants and a 15 min bus-ride to CBD. If you come by car there is convenient secure parking free of charge. The apartment (located on the ground floor) had a balcony and was... More

Firstly, I'd like to note that it seems that Best Western no longer operate this hotel. Located in Dickson, on the outskirts of Canberra city, we stayed here as we got a cheap package via a deals website. For what we were looking for, it was fine. Reception was well stocked with information for travellers, the attendant was pleasant, and... More

I was very disappointed with our stay at Parklands. The room had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, dust build up on the pictures in the room and on skirting boards, the room was not vacumed for the 3 days of our stay and the bathroom was not cleaned either.Considering the price we paid for this 3 person room I would have... The Parkland Apartment Hotels provide convenient and clean accommodation for the Canberra area. There are convenient shops and restaurants located a short walk in Dickson, leaving a 5-10 minute drive to get to most regions of Canberra. Check-in was very good, with them calling me to provide instructions on how to enter the premises if I didn't make it before... More

I've stayed here a few times, this was the first time in a 3 bedroom apartment though. I never thought to ask if it would have 2 bathrooms but considering I've stayed here in a 2 bedroom before and it did I figured a 3 bedroom definately would. No - one interconnecting bathroom for 6 people! What a nightmare. For... More
