I've stayed at various Travelodge Hotels in Sydney and Melbourne and this was my first time at Phillip St. Room is standard Travelodge with Bed, Sofa and Desk and Bathroom. I had a room facing the internal courtyard which was great as you get no traffic noise despite being in the middle of Sydney. The hotel is a short walk... More

We enjoyed our stay here. Central location, good rooms, comfortable beds. Might not be suitable for family as there is the NSW league at ground floor and this hotel is a part of that, so evenings the place is crowded with people there. There is not much of a hotel feel because of that, and you feel like you have intruded into... More

Fantastic stay with my sister for two nights in a Queen and sofa. Both were quite comfortable to sleep in and the room was modern and well maintained. I booked for 3 adults but my Husband was unable to attend so it was a lot more expensive than a room for 2and as I booked an advance purchase deal it... More

My husband and I stayed here when visiting Sydney. It's an average location. Most of the CBD closes at the weekend and early on a Friday so we struggled a little. If I was to revisit I'd probably choose The Rocks or somewhere not as far away from the harbour. We really enjoyed it, rooms are spacious and clean so... More

Location, value for money and close to everything, you cannot beat. The rooms are small, clean and adequate for business, great for one or two nights. Breakfast caters for all and the staff are friendly, efficient and will help you with anything from sight seeing to direction. Over all a good hotel but not for families

I recently stayed at the Travelodge on Phillip Street in Sydney. I couldn't have asked for more for the price. It exceeded my expectations by quite a bit. The hotel seemed almost new, and my room was a nice size, and had a microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom was just fine, also. They had free WiFi in the restaurant, and... More

My partner and I stayed here for 1 night for the counting crows concert. It was OK, not the best hotek but good location, the room was dark and the area was a bit damp. It was good for one night but I wouldn't stay any longer. When we booked this hotel I put it on my mums creadit card... More

Excellent value for money in an excellent location - an easy walk to the main shopping area and also to Circular Quay, but located on a quieter street. Rooms are clean and functional and have everything you need including mini kitchenette with microwave - all at 3 star standard (but I give it 4 stars based on the great value... More

I stayed in Sydney for three nights, and although there are things about this hotel that are three-star (circa 1940 faucets/taps and plastic chairs being two), the staff were friendly and efficient, and the bed in my room was far and away the most comfortable bed I've had in many years of traveling. Good location, too -- only a half-block... More

We stayed in Sydney for 2 nights prior to a cruise and the Travelodge Phillip Street was perfect for our needs. The location is great. We were able to take the train from the airport ($15.60 AUD) and get off at St. James stop. The hotel is just a short 2 block walk from there. It is also a short... More
