I had anticipated more grass considering their advertising comments on their website. Most sites are red sand with a few concrete slabs here and there. Most powered sites have back to back and alongside sites so if you're in the middle it can feel quite crowded. Ask for a site on a corner if possible. Okay amenities - basic but... More

Ayers Rock Resort in Yulara is the closest you can stay to Uluru and the campground is the cheapest option within the resort. We looked at all available options and decided to tent it in the campground for four days while exploring the national park. Different areas are set aside for different types of camping - tent, RV, powered or... More

Ayers Rock Resort is the only game in town at Uluru. The cabins in the campground are very reasonable. The two bedroom cabins have a double bed in one room and two bunks in the other. The sitting/eating area is very small. The cabins are not en suite so there is a walk to the bath and showers. If you... More

At first I was quite hesitant after reading all the reviews about the campground. Unfortunately we had no choice as we were on a budget and had intended to camp so this is the only option to camp near Uluru besides 'free' camping sites 80kms up the road at Curtin Springs. This is the lowest price option in the entire... More

Finding an inexpensive place to stay in Uluru can be very difficult but the campgrounds meet this criteria. The campground rents out 2 bedrdoom cabins that have a queen bed in 1 room, two sets of bunk beds in the other room and has kitchenette for cooking. The rooms are basic but clean. The quarters are somewhat tight when looking... More

We were looking for a less expensive alternative to the hotels in the area, as we were looking to save some money and knew we wouldn't spend much time in our room. Cabin was clean and very basic. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would need, plus a microwave and television. It was pretty much what the website described.... More

Camp ground is part of the resort but has more affordable accom. We rented a cabin which had two bedrooms. A double bed in one and two bunks in the other. Cabins are semi self contained however they don't have bathrooms. The communal toilet/shower block were only a short walk and the facilities were in good order. There is a... More

The location is remote, but that is what you come here for. We could not fault the place, yes the shops and petrol are more expensive but considering you are a days travel from anywhere we expected to pay over the odds. The site was very clean and well run. Staff very friendly and attentive - one of the best... More

We were here at the end of the rainy season so not many people around which meant the campsite was nice and quiet :) Clean amenities and reasonable price I guess, just a shame there is no real view from within the campsite as it is set down in a bit of a dip. But most of the time you... More

Stayed at the campground to save money since the hotels were out of our budget. We rented a cabin so we din't have to bring any sort of "camping" equipment with us which would have been problematic as we were coming from the USA. Nice accommodations, frequent bus routes within the resort area. We had planned to do the sounds... More
