An excellent budget accommodation with friendly staff and good quality service. The room was clean and the lodge was within walking distance of local amenities. Swimming pool was a welcome relief from the heat. Recommended.

We stayed here for two nights in a double room with shared facilities. Room with aircon and fridge was good. It had a nice bed but if you are over 1.8m it will be to shall for you. Shared facilities were not very clean, it looked like Godzilla had a shower in there because there was so much hair in...

The room was very basic, but clean. They only had unisex bathrooms. You need to wear shoes in the showers, but otherwise everything was clean. If you are just looking for a clean place to stay overnight and aren't looking for anything at all fancy, this is a good place.

I stayed in the Banyan View lodge in the (quiet) wet season in January 2012.
As everyone says, that's the quiet end of town, but when it's only 10 minutes walk to the centre it doesn't really matter. The building is on three floors with the corridor on each and a small lounge at the end of each floor. There's...

Stayed he for a few days at the start of a 3 month trip. Did book a room for myself. Rooms and facilities are very basic, but clean. And as it is at the top end of Mitchell Street you are away from the rowdy end, so nice and quiet at night.

First time thru Darwin, I booked at Youth Shack and left after 10 minutes after seeing the bathrooms. Then went to YHA which was ok, but didnt like sharing room with long-term local workers. Went to Dingo Moon which was really good. Second time thru Darwin, went back to Dingo but wasnt as clean as before and ended up at...

We stayed in this property on 2 separate occasions - one night and then 2 weeks later for 3 nights. We had booked ( in January for September!) for a 3rd stay but returned from a trip to Kakadu to find that our room had been booked to another guest - office bungle - no wonder they appear to use...

Being the V8 races weekend, our choices were limited. We wanted a quiet place away from the main strip and this was located perfectly. A stroll to where the action is yet quiet with no signs of party leftovers. The place was dirty however and I don't understand why no effort was made to clean it. I doubt the rooms...

Nice place to stay in Darwin. Location is great as it's close enough to the main part of Mitchell St, but far enough to be quiet (20 min walk). Also close to Mindil Beach market (20 min too). The rooms are clean (though a bit dusty, but not dirty) and the beds are comfy. The shared facilities are good and...

I stayed here for 6 nights in November when there was no other affordable accommodation available. The room was okay, with a nice view of pool and trees in garden. The location was good, about tow minutes' walk to the city centre but away from the noise. The kitchens were small and seemed okay, but i never cooked. The toilet+bathroom...
