It was an amazing weekend! (April 25th - 28th) I must commend the Lodge for their superb outlay of the camp grounds, the facilities and the maintenance of the camp grounds. I have never seen such beautifully keep camp grounds. no dust, just beautiful green grass. i am trying to think of something that i disliked but i can't. maybe... More

We really enjoyed our 3 days, that we had last weekend at Mount Barney Lodge. The place is fantastic, with well kept grounds and an excellent amenities block. It is also a great place for families too, as the children have plenty of places to explore. We will certainly be returning there for another holiday. Perfect peace.

I spent the weekend at Mt Barney Lodge Country Retreat as part of a group of very enthusiastic photographers. We could not have had better weather nor scenery for practising new skills in photography. What made the weekend workshop even better was the accommodation in Moringararah Homestead (the original homestead on the property) and the excellent lunches and dinner prepared... More

We really enjoy the variety of groups that use Mt Barney Lodge for their conferencing/workshop/celebration/creative needs. We are so fortunate that most groups are also happy sharing their experience and learnings with us – this time I was inspired by Pinhole Photography and projection of a scenic photo back onto the building it was taken from – wow!! Awesome!! I... More

Our family recently spent two nights in Henry's Hut at Mt Barney Lodge Country Retreat, and despite inclement weather, we had a great time. The hut was 'rustic' in the true sense of the word. A basic kitchen, small but cosy lounge area, two bedrooms plus front and rear covered verandah areas. No bathroom, no toilet, but the amenities block... More

Thanks for your review - you timed your stay in Henrys Hut perfectly as the popularity of the huts increases with rainy and cold weather. Nothing is more luxurious than visiting camping friends when you have a toasty hut as a fallback!! Big points for swimming in the creek when it was cold - Have you seen the recent photo... More

We had a fabulous stay at Mt Barney over the Easter holidays. We were in a group of 3 families, and we had plenty of room spread out, set up communal kitchen areas and have room for the kids to run about and play. The open fires around the camp sites were brilliant and kept our kids amused for hours!... More

We often wonder who the night adventure is more popular with .... the kids or the adults!! 2&1/2 hours of adventure run by trained Outdoor Leaders ticks everyones boxes!! The kids have been known to return for a second consecutive night, and the adults always say that thier 2&1/2 hours of serenity passed too quickly!! Maybe next time you can... More

Our family of four (2 under 8) camped here recently around Easter when they were at capacity. It never felt crowded! They have a maximum of 100 campers, regardless of the number of tents, so it never looked cramped. Every other tent was quite large - two or three rooms, with/without annex - but there still felt like plenty of... More

Thanks for your feedback, I'm really pleased your camping experience was enjoyed by your whole family. The lit washup area is more popular than a true camp kitchen back at the tent, so a slight queue during peak times does occur. We reckon that this queue is like the office "drinking fountain" ... it is where conversations take place and... More

Mt Barney is our favouriate place to go. They limit their guests over Easter weekend. We have been there with the streams dry over the drought years and when it has been beautiful and green with the wettest Easters as well. Lovely green tree fogs. Kids playing in the stream, children playing cricket, softball, footy and bouche as well -... More

Ahhhh G, your review transported me back to those delicious 4 days of Easter where we seem not to run a business, but welcome back friends for a country weekend each year!! I especially love Easter Sunday and sharing the Eco Boat Race with the whole Lodge, as it turns into a lazy afternoon of conversation by the creek. Pietros... More

We stayed two nights recently and the service through booking and arrival was excellent. The natural beauty of the area is also excellent. The creek was great and the water was a little too cold to swim in, but during the warmer weather, I could only imagine how nice it would be. Views of the campground over Mt Barney are... More

Thanks tat76 for your feedback, we appreciate the time you have taken in summarizing your experience with us at Easter. I read that you experienced both good times, and impacts from your fellow campers that have left a less memorable impression. Easter is a peak capacity period for us, and we actively manage 100 people’s needs and impacts on the... More

Fantastic location to camp at! Our second trip and for novice campers has excellent amenities. The swimming holes are to die for & the 7 of us had great time despite some of the road erosion getting there. Have recommended Mt Barney to everyone we know.

The recent cyclone events have sent volumes of water down the creek - the good news is the waterholes have all been scoured out and have fresh gravel on the bottom, .... we even have a mini beach on our creek frontage now!!
