The Globetrotters International is a modern hostel with all the facilities (and lack thereof) that you would expect from a hostel. The rooms were clean and staff friendly. I stayed here for a week and was really pleased with my stay. The staff were so friendly and really went out of their way to help us with day trips etc. The rooms aren't amazing but its still really good value for money. If i was in Cairns, i'd stay here again.

The one member of staff I saw done a decent job. Its a modern hostel with everything you need. Unfortunately some of the communal areas near the reception are very messy and clearly someone is not paying any attention to the rules. I get the impression it needs more staff or the this Hostel could go to ruin.

Rooms and facilities very nice. About 20 minute walk to town, but a very easy, nice walk so not a problem. Seemed clean and organized. Only thing that it lacked was the social element, people didn't really mix and just sat using free wifi, not talking. Would benefit by organizing more social events etc.

We had a 4 bed room and lovely comfy beds (no bunks) and the rooms was really spacious. Bathrooms clean but kitchen did get a bit grotty by the end of the day (although this was spotlessly cleaned every morning). The free WIFI was a great bonus but only worked 50% of the the time we were there.
