My wife and I stayed at the Cottage over the new year period for 2012/2013. All in all, a pleasant stay and quite unassuming for its location given that it's right in the heart of Port Douglas itself. Tucked up a small driveway, half way up a hill lies the Cottage and Lodge premises. You'd miss it quite easily if... More

We stayed at the Lodge, and unlike many places it really did match the description on the website. Being in the centre of town and within walking distance of beach and other activites there was no need to hire a car. Also it was also a romantic, private retreat. It was great to stay in a place designed for the... More

We stayed at The Lodge which is the larger of the two dwellings and is at the rear of the block. The house has open cathedral ceilings, french doors opening on to the long veranda, slate floors, and a wonderfully thought of functional stainless steel kitchen. With a central lounge and two bedrooms either side with their own ensuite, it... More

Our wonderful host Graeme ensured our every need was taken care of, including invaluable local insight and tour information, and left us to enjoy our gorgeous cottage in this fantastic Port Douglas location - which couldn't have been more relaxing, convenient or indulgent! The tranquil rainforest setting is a stunning scene to wake up to, (and beautiful bird life!) and... More

We stayed in the Lodge. Our host was great and advised us of what to do around town. It is right in the centre of town so you can walk everywhere. You have your own private pool and it's great to have a BBQ at night with the family. There are plenty to do in Port Douglas. The tour of... More

In planning our honeymoon we stumbled across the Port Douglas Cottage - so glad we did!! The owner (Graeme) met us and gave us a guided tour as well as leaving us a couple of ice cold beers and some sparkling wine in the fridge to help us settle in. This was in addition to the breakfast pack he left... More

We have holidayed at the Cottage for last four years and it is a perfect spot for a couple to relax. The accommodation is classy with it's own pool/ spa,  the location is great and the owners  make sure that everything is perfect. We have not stayed at the larger adjacent Lodge but it looks superb.  Highly recommended!

We stayed in the lodge for a week in June 2012. It's beautifully put together old character cottage but very tastefully modernised and had all the mod cons. Two large bedrooms with en suite, a big living room and well appointed kitchen and laundry. It as a BBQ and deck with small pool. Only slightly disappointment was the deck and... More

My hubby and I had the pleasure of staying here on our wedding night and the nights surrounding it. It was great having our own personal little home without the huge price tag of a large house. It felt private yet we were only a minute from the main street with all of the restaurants and shops at our fingertips.... More
