Stayed last minute in a 1 bed apartment.cheap as chips.nice staff. room was tired and in need of a paint etc, but was spacious, very spacious. water pressure was amazing.
the food in the restaurant is great and cheap, lobster for 19

I stayed here at this motel for 2 nights, over christmas. I was having a birthday get together and hired out 5 rooms. It equated to $50 per person for an apartment with a lounge room, kitchen, seperate bathroom and bedroom along with a verandah.

Stayed here one night on a wotif deal. Very central location but so tired and it is in no way a 'resort'. It is unfortunate they mix the backpackers and the hotel. The two just don't mix no matter what management thinks.
Best part of the place is the outside cafe on the highway. Friendly kiwi girl on the staff...

Stayed with a large group for a bucks which this place is perfect for.
Low quality, cheap rooms close enough to everything that goes on with a bucks.
The one thing that without doubt needs upgrading is the tv's... They are tiny with no digital stations and horrible reception.

Not a great place to stay and certainly we am not going back there ever again. Its not a hotel really. I would probably say its a upgraded backpacker's hostel. The rooms requires upgrade immediately. The building is old and I doubt there was any maintenance/refurbishment in there in past 20 years. One of the lifts was "out of service"...
