The first thing that we experienced was a strong mildew smell. The curtains and windows were dirty and the outdoor furniture was rusted. Great location and nice enough hotel. It is a little on the older side but still great value at $78 a night. The only problem was that cable tv was viewable. Told reception and she didn't know how to fix it.

“good location and views, BUT...”

We liked the location and great ocean views, but STRONG fresh paint smell was quite overwhelming. During low season period, I am sure they had other empty rooms available. Also, toilet was quite dirty. Staff could be friendlier.

I booked the Aloha apartments recently to celebrate my birthday with a weekend away. We arrived to the apartment smelling like bleach, so much so that we had to open all the doors and windows to flush the smell out.
