I stayed for two nights. It's in a very pretty area, opposite a park and within walking distance of some great eateries, and of course, specialists room, which is why I stayed there initially. I usually stop closer to the Hills, but I will change my Adelaide over-nighter plus to the Princes Lodge. It is clean and quiet, those old... More

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of our motel. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay and am sorry that you did not mention the shutters to us during your stay. They are generally only used during periods of expected high heat and strong summer sun. They are effective in reducing the temperature in the rooms... More

Beautiful period house converted into rooms, cheap rates & includes continental breakfast & parking. Stayed here on the weekend to attend the cricket with my son & girlfriend & the 4 of us had the old Coach House at the back of the house. The rooms are dated but very clean & comfortable - beds were great & if they... More

Fantastic Edwardian house. Is very cheap, comes with breakfast. Has parking, you will need a car if you stay here or bring your hiking boots! It is a bit of a hike to the city centre. Could do with some renovations, but I guess they would then have to put the prices up. They have better maps of Adelaide than... More

The location of this place is great. It's a lovely, quiet area. We had a car and there was adequate parking at the rear of the building. But without a car I think this location would be a nuisance as it's a bit far out of town. It is a lovely big old house, but the rooms are dated. The... More

The Princes Lodge Motel (more like a B&B than a motel) is, I concede, budget accommodation. However, I paid the bargain basement price of $AU63.00 per night for a basic room with simple continental breakfast! Sure the rooms are old, pokey and rather Spartan. But, the PL was clean, the staff pleasant and the location superb. The Princes Lodge is... More

Princes Lodge is an old converted house on the far north end of Adelaide. If you don't have a car (which we did not), I'd stay closer in to town because it's a longish walk especially with luggage and buses aren't running all that frequently. The place is shabby, rundown, it could do with some new or reupholstered furniture. It's... More

Location, location, location! I urge anyone visiting Adelaide to stay in the charming North Adelaide area. There is a free shuttle bus that goes downtown on the half hour and a long street of restaurants, banks, etc. for evening dining. This is not the only place to stay in the area, in fact, it's a bit downmarket, but I can't... More

I recently stayed at the Princes Lodge Motel in Adelaide. I chose the motel as it was in the budget end of the market and it was close to Adelaide's Womens and Childrens Hospital. I was pleasantly surprised at the standard of fit of my room, which had been renovated recently. The manager was friendly and she made me feel... More
