My first impression was not very good but after a few days I just loved it here! It is an old hostel and not the cleanest but it is a good stay for backpackers. It is cheap, the rooms are not overcrowded and you find help whenever you need it. I met many great people and had some good nights... More

I made the mistake of booking the private room with the ensuite. Total ripoff. To cut a long story short. You couldn't watch TV as the reception was unwatchable on all channels except one. The bed frame was about to break in half The springs on the mattress were broken The common area for backpackers was 2 feet outside my... More

I just wanted to write to say thank you to the owner and the staff (cleo her name is ?) for helping me whilst I was at Adelaide Travellers Inn. They honestly went out of there way to help me navigate around Adelaide and show me what to do. Its this type of service that you miss at other hostels... More

totally agree with robin as I had exactly the same experience. I left covered with bites. The place is unsafe, filthy, depressing and falling down. Electrical eqipment wired in shower room with plugs suspended over the basins- a disaster waiting to happen.Slippery dirty floor in shower room. Plus took me 1 and a half hours to find - nobody knew... More

The dirtiest, most worn down place we ever stayed in whilst travelling. Tiny kitchen that is badly equipped.Dirty showers and loo's and generally shabby.Smells old and unclean. It is very loud every night till well into the early hours which is good if that's what your after. Very friendly receptionist (chloe) but that is only good thing about it. Oh... More

We found this to be the dirtiest accomodation we have ever stayed in anywhere we have travelled. The carpets were filthy and stained and did not appear to be vacuumed regularly. The kitchen was filthy. The kettle was covered in brown stain. Few pairing knives and can openers. Because there was no proper eating area and the outside tables and... More

This place was absolutely horrible!!! It started off as just noise and expensive, and turned out to be horror! Hot water didn't work for 32 hours. And I haven't slept for a night founding out the place was crawling with bedbugs! After informing it appeared they know about this and that it was "impossible to stop". DONT GO! More

It was 30 bucks a night for a 6-bed dorm and I have to say that it was overpriced. I have stayed in hostels around the world and this would have to be up there with the worst. A tiny and unclean room with not even a working lightbulb, it was stuffy, with no fan or ventilation aside from a... More

This hostel is about 20 minutes from the botanical gardens and most the highlights of Adelaide. It's a little rickety and as usual with hostel type accommodation the walls are very thin, so don't expect a good night's sleep. Adelaide is a great city with a small town feel. More
