Right in heart of Sandy Bay this is a great place to explore Hobart. We walked through historic Battery Point to Salamanca Place and Hobart CBD and caught a local bus back. Apartments are well appointed and quiet when we stayed. Good bathrooms and good beds. All the eating places and supermarkets you need are close by.

We have stayed at woolmers several times but have become more disappointed with each visit. Sadly money isn't being spent on maintenance, with issues of light bulbs blown, or windows not quite shutting and being drafty. Heater in the bathroom didn't work properly and the apartment was so cold, we went and bought a fan heater. It IS good value... More

It would not take much to improve this motel hugely. Some of the minor irritations were, no bedside lights, no air con, window with broken handle that wouldnt open, make up stained bath towels, Tv that is not on movable stand to enable watching from bed and reception staff unapologetically late for work. Friendly staff,very old and in poor condition ,was very noisy with traffic the next morning because of a lane way right next to the windows of my bedroom but accommodation was scarce when we were there and this was cheap and clean so it done the job for 1 night

Close to shops, cafes etc. Easy access to most Hobart attractions. Rooms showing signs of age. Cooking facilities consisted of two smallish hotplates and a microwave. Traffic noise from Sandy Bay Rd very intrusive.

Good location although on a busy road. Request a room away from the road! Staff and service was excellent. Bit outdated furniture, some repairs need to be made on rooms. Easy and affordable for a few nights. Walking distance to Salamanca St and close to a great Italian restaurant Solo.
