This place won't be everyone's cup of tea, but it brought back a flood of memories of my own childhood 1970's holiday experience. Very clean and well presented which made all the difference. A real surprise. Certainly aging and a mixed decor; however, the rooms are as big as any in a comparable motel / hotel. Very clean, and daily maintenance is superb. This was a wonderful place to stay in HOBART. Clean, tidy, quite, home away from home, all the comforts of home. Rates very, very reasonable, old world charm, close to the Harbour, tour buses do pickups from here also. We stayed 3 nights, did not want to leave. More

We stayed two nights at the Mayfair on Cavell and were impressed by the spacious room completed as it was with extra touches like recliner chairs. From the point of check-in to leaving we could not fault the service and would highly recommend the Motel which although older is roomy and comfortable. More

Great motel proudly from yesteryear Rooms are spacious, clean, quiet and with comfortable beds. Located within walking distance of central Hobart though the uphill walk back is a bit of a killer. The Italian restaurant around the corner is good value as is the Cambodian "VANNY'S" at 181 Liverpool st. More
