We stayed here on our first trip to Melbourne and the location was brilliant. We read all the bad reviews on here (after we had already booked!) so we weren't expecting much but the room was fine. It was small and a little on the old side but it was clean and the bed was really comfortable and that's all... More

I stayed here the week of Anzac Day. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I booked through Wotif, so did not experience any problems. It was my first trip to Melbourne and I found the hotel so close to eveything. The only down points I found were the lack of power points in the room, and the fact that... More

We stayed in October after booking the hotel as a “secret deal” where the name is not released until after you pay. The room was OK for the price we paid $120 including breakfast; however I would not stay there again. The rooms are old, service poor and the breakfast is basic. Hotel car parking has been sub let to... More

Foolishly I did not read the reviews until I had already booked. Needless to say they are all true. The room is old, unkempt and looks dirty. Cold air and noise from the street come in through a large gap under the balcony door. Competing with the street noise is the noise that comes from a vent in the bathroom... More

Abit rundown. Only good thing about this place is location. Their definition of a queen bed is two beds joined together. Wouldn't stay here again More

Looking for a romantic night at a reasonable price, we booked the king spa room. The price for Melbourne seemed reasonable until we saw how aged the room was. The bathroom was very tired and the corner spa really too small for two adults. The king bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Location was good for restaurants and... More

No problems really, I thought the package was good value. Dinner plus two drinks in the restaurant and breakfast included were just fine. Reception efficient and friendly. Parking right underneath the hotel for 24 hours-also friendly attendants. Bed very comfortable (king size and singles pushed together which is the standard but they didn't come apart) and no outside noise (Room... More

The pictures on the Website lie ! Worn out hotel which needs renovation quickly. Internet charge by the minute (!) and breakfast costs $17. For the same rate, I could have chosen a much better value hotel. I tried to leave, but the reservation centre refused saying I booked a Non refundable rate. The pool is closed ..... The staff... The initial cost seems low but internet is 88 cents per minute (even in the lobby), breakfast is $17 each, the staff are not very friendly or helpful, bed was a little lumpy and only had a thin blanket, the pool is still broken and Lonsdale is very loud. The door to our room had a large gap under it... More

The lobby looks reasonable but as you as you step out of the lift you will be confronted with a dirty carpet, scuffed walls, and a dingy smell. Stayed in an economy room, which was in fact two single beds put together. The light shines through the door directly on to the bed. We were falling down the middle of... More
