What a super experience- an interesting and welcoming B&B. Very clean room and private bathroom ( dont be put off by separate bathroom across hallway - very easy, private to your own room and discrete) Paul is a super host and the one big breakfast table beside the old baking ovens is great fun and the amicable chat sets you... We stayed at RITC after a friend found it on Trip Advisor. We loved our stay and regretted that we had to switch to another hotel for my husband's work events. Paul, the owner, is so friendly and helpful. He made us an amazing breakfast every morning. We felt as though we were staying at a friend's house. Paul took... More

We recently spent 3 nights at RITC and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The accommodation was really comfortable, lots of little touches to make it feel like a second home! Paul was brilliant at recommending places to visit and local eateries in order for us to get the most out of our stay - he also makes the most delicious breakfasts!! More

My husband and a coworker of his went to Melbourne for work, and I tagged along with. We flew out three days early and stayed at RITC based on Trip Advisor reviews, and then later moved on to the Hilton South Wharf, which is a VERY nice hotel. Aside from perhaps the bed quality, RITC is better if you want... More

We spent a night here over the weekend and found Robinson's a delight. So different from a soulless hotel. Paul was so welcoming. We had booked a queen room but as a larger king room was still available Paul gave us that instead. Very intimate little B&B centrally located and good value. Wish we could have spent longer here. We... More

flyingkitchen, You win second prize in the fastest TripAdvisor review. Only beaten by the review that was written whilst the guest was still checked into their room here at RITC using our wi-fi!! Thank you so much for your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us and found RITC to be a "soulful" place. As other reviewers... More

What a fantastic little haven this place is. I travel to Melbourne on a regular basis but still hadnt found a place that I loved and would return to again and again... Robinsons in the city is now it. Fantastic b&b and well looked after by the wonderful host in Paul. I had major flight dramas and Paul gave me... More

Eils074, WOW - what an extensive review. Thank you so much for posting it. I'll start with your constructive critisisms! 1. WI-FI details: GOOD TIP to add the wi-fi password to my welcome letter, I will do that in the future. As most of my arrival are delat with face-to-face, it is usually covered during the check-in process. The key... More

We were after something different to an impersonal hotel, comfortable and relatively central. This was all that and more. The air conditioned en suite room we had was ideal for us: spotlessly clean, a bed that allowed us to sleep like a log, coffee and tea making facilities, pay tv. No view, but not an issue for us. A bit... More

Yet another extensive RITC review - thank you for posting it. You mentioned plenty of our great features and also slight drawback in room noise - although you did say it was "not really a problem". So I'll address that first: The building was primarily a home - so as such was not built with a "hotel" in mind. So,... More

I am in my lovely room at Robinson's as I write this review! What a delightful, friendly and comfortable place to stay. The touches that make Robinsons special include: *delicious, filling breakfasts.... best omelettes and scrambled eggs! (Dont expect to want to eat lunch!) *Paul's amazing hospitality.... you really feel like you are staying in someone's home... and someone who... More

The little details in this B&B make all the difference: A wine refrigerator for your own bottle. A place to make coffee in the early morning without disturbing your slumbering better half, and a thermos to carry it back to your room. Catsup on the breakfast table for us crazy Americans. Chilled wine bottles for sale at very reasonable prices.... More

CDeTraveler, A big thank you for taking the time to write a review on RITC. I'm glad that you appreciated the "little things" that we offer our guests. As it is these that often make the BIG difference (as your title suggests!). Our Butlers' Pantry offers local beer, red, white and sparkling wines, a great selection of teas and coffee... More

A great place to say, the service and advice from Paul was friendly and professional. The room was quiet, well appointed and an easy walk/tram to the city , Vic market, dinner ect. Breakfast was Yummy and there was a great choice. We will definately be back again the next time we are in Melbourne. More
