After being checked into a room which still had another occupant, much to all our surprise , we landed In a decent studio suite., Similar to another reviewer my Accor status was not acknowledged until after the second shot but really they hadn’t been prepped which was a little disappointing given how well treated we are at other Accor locations. Close to terms and shops. A bit noisey outside.

We spent four nights at the residences over new years in a one-bedroom apartment with water view. Overall, our stay was mixed, there are some great things about the hotel and some items which were quite poor. So good stuff first, location is great, quiet end of Melbourne, with tram stop in the free tram zone outside the door. Easy access to a supermarket (5 or so mins walk) and several restaurants close by (hotel has no restaurant). The residences are in several residential buildings (not in the main building), and the view is outstanding especially on New Year's Eve. Balcony was excellent. But... there are some negatives which can be easily remedied. We arrived at the hotel and were told the room was not ready, would be 30 mins, not an issue as we wanted to get a late lunch, returned 90 mins later and still not ready, "we are short staffed and fully booked so there is a delay" so again left and retuned 30 mins later, and checked in which was cumbersome. As a guest this is not my problem, don't sell the room if you can't service (also heard this excuse given to another guest when checking out four days later) My Accor Diamond status was not recognized. Apartment furniture was cheap, stained and in some cases broken. Blind in the lounge was filthy and broken. Wooden floors in the apartment were scratched with black marks and dirty. Missing detergent and tea towel to wash up and only one bin bag (??) Blind in bedroom let in a lot of light. Breakfast included which is served at a local cafe, so bad that we bought breakfast from the supermarket after the first morning. With a few fixes and some attention to detail in cleaning, this could have been a great stay!

Lovely large 2 bedroom apartment in good location. Comfortable beds, great kitchen and exceptional showers. TV, couches and bedroom carpets need updating. Also curtains were broken and let in alot of light.

Somewhat disappointing. Was not advised at time of booking our room would have no service. We stayed 4 nights, apparently only gets serviced if you stay 7 plus. One set of towels for each of us and 1 shower cap for both of us. 4 tea bags and same amount for coffee. We were advised to contact if we needed more. Anyone staying more than 1 night would need more. Couldn’t you work out how many nights we are staying and give us amenities for this amount. We were also advised to empty our own garbage before we left. I think you can do better than this Sebel especially if you want people to return.

Started out bad with the receptionist watching me struggle trying to open the door to use their luggage trolley and have my dog in a stroller on my own and do nothing. Was advised they only has one dog friendly room left so had no choice but to stay in this grim room. They want a $150 pet cleaning fee, when I should be charging them - had to clean it. Dust and food crumbs everywhere. My dog doesn't even want to be here! Literally nothing she could get dirty! It's dirty enough. Holes and scratches in 20 yr old furniture. Half rolled up rug that's too big, toilet seat too small. Only 3 TV channels work. No welcome drink offered - silver member. Just grim! Can't believe 4* 😳

This was very disappointing. The window blinds did not darken the room hardly at all. The traffic noise from cars and trains, and trams was loud and consistant until the early hours of the morning. We did not even have a spars blanket or pillow. Room had all amenities and was clean. Great location for getting in and ouf of city.

Dear Parqadise08272139431, Thank you for your feedback; I am sorry to hear about what happened during your stay. Do you mind telling me the building and room numbers so I can follow up with the noise and blinders issues? By the way, the spare blanket and pillows are generally on the top shelf of the wardrobe, and you are welcome to ask our reception for any assistance at any time if you cannot find them. Anyway, I am glad you liked the amenities, cleanliness and hotel location. We look forward to welcoming you again and will ensure your next stay is better than the previous one. Regards, Jamie Wei GM

Would never stay here again! Location is great… the staff are awful! We arranged late checkout… only to have housekeeping walk in on my wife in the shower. They waited outside her door while she grabbed her things. When we spoke to reception she laughed and said oh well I didn’t charge your card yet. Massive invasion of privacy and treated terribly for their mistake. Stay elsewhere is my advice

Hi Ally, Do you mind telling me the room you stayed in so I can follow up on the issue you mentioned? Because I could not find your booking in our system and could not find anyone who internally handled the case you mentioned in the review. My email is guestservice@sebeldocklands.com.au, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. All the best, Jamie Wei GM

This is convenient to get to from the trams/Skybus/Southern Cross station and the studio was reasonably comfortable BUT We always travel with special clip together cutlery - a gift from our daughter - we left the forks on the sink to wash and house keeping threw them away but did not take away the two empty cans and one bottle which were rubbish. When I complained I think the bloke on the desk thought it was a bit of a joke. The housekeeping manager was supposed to call us but of course they have not. They will be very hard to replace. The bed had just one rather flat pillow each so had to try to use hard couch cushions which was not very successful. The air conditioning in the lounge room broke down in hot weather which was not comfortable. We hung up our towels as directed to say we would be 'green' and not waste energy but they took them and replaced them anyway. We are Platinum Accor members - won't be staying there again!

The hotel is easy to get to from the airport, then easy to get around using trams. The 3x2 apartment was spacious however very dated and not to the standard I expected from a Sebel property or from photos online. We had issues with the air conditioner, which the management got to as soon as possible but was not a great first night. The property we were in was quite dated, in particular the bathrooms and kitchen had a cupboard door that wouldn’t open. There is no room servicing for less than 7 days however no cleaning appliances which would have been useful for general tidying with children. Overall location is fine and fit our family comfortably but there were more than a few things that left us disappointed and not to the standard expected of Accor.

This is hard to rate as we stayed 3 nights in 1 apartment then moved to a 2nd apartment for 2 nights both 2 bedrooms our 1st apartment was in a building opposite the main building & I rate as 3 stars it was dusty/dirty, dark the balcony was in a shaded dark street with not much of a view. some lights don’t work & some doors couldn’t close also no flannels to wash yourself the 2nd Apartment was a lot better & I would rate it as a 4 star it was in the Nolan building it was high rise with water views it was spacious beds comfy & had washer/dryer, dishwasher & kitchen facilities it could do with an upgrade as no Tv in the master some Tv channels don’t work & could do with a charging station overall if booking the Sebel site is deceiving & I would get the water View & ask for high rise in the Nolan building.
