The staff at the front desk and also the concierges are very junior and one loses a lot of time as they constantly need to see supervision. We had arranged over the concierge a rental car, but the application form got lost and in the end we had to take a taxi to the rental facility to get the car....

For a downtown hotel, it's a very good hotel. It is located in the city of Perth and the Rydges Perth hotel is a good base for exploring the city comfortably.

Thanks for the positive comments. Apologies for the internet issues you mentioned, however I am pleased to say we are at the final stages of confirming a supplier to replace all the internet services within the hotel and indeed install a Wifi solution to all of our guest rooms.

We had a lovely and enjoyable stay at The Rydges from 4 May to 6 May 2012. The suite was unbelievable. My daughter had a fun time in the room occupying herself with the phones, playing peek a boo at the lounge behind a dividing wall and controlling the faucet at the spa.

Allowed very early check-in (9am). Very friendly staff, fast check-in/check-out. Clean room/bathroom. Perfect and convenient location in the heart of Perth CBD.
Shower hot water supply a bit inconsistent, other than was pretty good.
Will consider staying at Rydges Perth again, next time Carlton has to play over there interstate.

I took advice from other reviewers and requested a room on a higher floor away from ice machine, elevator and street noise. Had a very comfortable and quiet room - the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. The bar/restaurant downstairs was very nice. Business trip to Perth, so when I booked I wasn't looking for a palace with all the trimmings. Value, convenience and friendly staff were my considerations when booking a place to spend 2 nights. Not a marble bathroom with 'Scents of Provence' bubble bath.

Great central city location, the CBD Bar is great for a drink but not for breakfast, however there are a few nice cafes nearby. Rooms are ok, bathrooms could do with a refresh.
