We stayed a week at the aptly named Great Ponsonby Arthotel and did our homework well before booking. We wanted a place with a good feel, to eat breakfast in a dining room with convivial travelers, a sitting room where we could swap stories with other travelers, parking for our rather large car and free wifi. This a wonderful traditional B&B. The hosts have literally transformed their home into a B&B. I had a room in a separate building in back of the main house. Nice, comfortable, quiet, practical.
