Stayed one night at Pacific Harbour and would thoroughly recommend it. Had a very spacious suite on the second floor overlooking the port. Beautiful sunny rooms, enormous bedroom, comfortable king sized bed, well equipped kitchen and lovely balcony area. Would love to have stayed longer so planning a summer break of more than one night, definitely at Pacific Harbour.

Lovely motel, by the river's edge and only a few seconds walk from the main street. Graham our host was very friendly and helpful, and gave us a one bedroom unit downstairs as I don't handle stairs very well. The unit was very spacious, a choice of two couches in the living room plus table and chairs. The kitchen, though... More

We've stayed here before and it's a short walk along the disused railway line to the restaurants at the Port. We had a large and well appointed room at the front (there's a little late night noise from the restaurants but they are far enough away not to be a problem). It's probably not the best choice if you plan... More

The hosts are warm, friendly and helpful. (like most Gisborne people). We have been staying regularly for 8 years now. Rooms are always clean with fresh milk waiting in the fridge for that all important first drink. Great central location overlooking the harbour. No restaurant but charge back facilities available from most local restaurants. Some rooms have outdoor courtyard for... More

This motor inn chosen at random as a good place to break our journey was a pleasant surprise. Our first floor accommodation comprised a decent bedroom with TV, a bathroom and very large lounge with kitchen facilities. A good sized sofa made it easy to relax and watch TV. The balcony had a view over the dock area which is... More

The motel was nice and clean. It seemed a little overpriced at $135 a night for a very small studio room without a kitchen and not close to any real amenities, with no views from our room. The shower wasn't great.

In a very quiet part of town with a great view of the harbor. Very clean and modern room. Short walk to dining and shopping. Yes, there were a lot of windows with blinds but the light didn't bother me, FUN FACT: 1st city in the world to see the sunrise every day.

Stayied here on business, great friendly service, clean tidy room with comfortable bed, the location was great, I am sure it is in a nice area, but I arrived late and left early and did not have muich time to look around. I did like the fact that they had fitted a quality heating/cooling system that was whisper quite

A lovely and helpful lady advised us on a unit with a king-size bed for my tall husband, the possibility to use their laundry and a wonderful restaurant close by as a choice of three. It was only a short walk to Gisborne's city centre, which was bright and inviting. The Motor Inn's location in the harbour area was quiet,... More

The Pacific Harbour Motor Inn is a typical NZ motel that offers rooms with ample space and friendly staff for a decent price. It is located adjacent to the wharf area with nearby walking/jogging trail. My only complaint is that my room had a lot of windows with Venetian blinds that did not adequately block outside lights during the night.... More
