We stayed here 1 night on route to Taupo. Well located a short drive from the centre of Hamilton and local supermarkets, on the face of it, our unit was clean and contained everything we needed, with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and decent bathroom with shower. The motor lodge is either new or completely renovated. Bathroom large, modern, clean. Bed and furniture good quality and comfortable. Air conditioner top notch Very quiet area even though located on one of main roads into town. Very convenient to Waikato Stadium (5 minute walk). Overall a very good experience.

We based all our accomodation based on ratings and comments on tripadvisor. This was the first time we have done this and I am pleased to say, we were not disappointed. The Hygate was up to the high standard that had been recommendated by others. Not too far from supermarket and a great pub.

I had a nice, quiet stay at Hygate. The place is lovely. The people are attentive and helpful. the rooms are large and really well cleaned. Oh and the internet access is fast and there were no connection problems. I would highly recommend staying there.

Located some distance from central Hamilton, so need to drive to restaurants. Rooms are large and appear well maintained.
