We stayed just one night in March 2013 and wished it could've been longer. Inexpensive, easy to find (the first motel after the signpost to Paihia) the building is of wooden construction with, it has to be said, rather fading paint. “Great place for a holiday”

Roomy unit, TV in both bedroom and lounge, full sized stove/oven, comfortable lounge furniture, bedside reading lights that were bright enough to read by (a first in a motel), and the cleanliness was very good indeed (an important factor).

Back to New Zealand again this March 2013. Went to Northland again and had to stay again at this little gem of a place in the Bay of Islands. Service with a smile, lovely well appointed room, really comfortable bed and great view. Glad I came back for more....
