Have stayed here several times and can't fault it. It is incredible value, brilliant location and helpful staff. Good food too, but it is right next door to Novotel so you can use their facilities too.

We had the standard king room, a little small but was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable, we asked for extra pillows which was no problem. The only little negative was no hand towels. We got a bath towel and face cloth each. A heated towel rail would have been nice considering the notice asking guests to recycle... More

It was a good location and we got it on special so the price was ok. Clean rooms and helpful staff as we were trying to plan some adventures. Very limited room service menu, and not really "room service" as you have to go pick it up! Pretty good, though I wouldn't recommend the cheesecake.

Clean comfortable stay. Liked the desk across the window although the view (back end of the hotel across the road to a scrubby hill was nothing to write home about.) Got a good deal - special rate. Typical Ibis - as in size of rooms, presentation etc. Do have to say that Rosie on reception/general bar/restaurant is a credit to Ibis, Rotorua!! Upon stripping the bed sheets, found yellow granules all over the mattress. Brought this to the attention of the reception desk. The staff immediately went to my room to check out the problem and offered to vacuum the mattress and re-make the bed. The yellow granules were shown to ?housekeeping who thought that they may be some type of pollen.... More

Rooms are what you would expect for the price - fine. Unfortunately we discovered our air-con wasn't working that night and it was a very cold night. We told reception and they offered for us to move rooms - which we should hv done in hindsight - but our son was about to go to sleep so couldnt be bothered... More

Room and bathroom are comfortable, clean and good -- typical Ibis. This one also has a minibar and coffee facilities. Location is very good, in a very quiet place, a few blocks from the heart of the city center and a couple of blocks from the I-site (walking distance from/to both). Staff was *very* kind and helpful.
