We stayed here for a couple of nights late December and really enjoyed it. The views are amazing, as are the steps, but we knew that before we booked it. In fact we found it a good way of working off the very good meals we enjoyed in Wellington! Very nice room and bathroom, with everything you could possibly need.... More

On our first ever trip to New Zealand we chose, from their web site, the Crescent Guest House for our first 4 days on New Zealand soil. Yes, the steps are an issue for luggage but that problem fades away as you are made so welcome by Sue and Brad in the excellent quality, private apartment facility. Being so close... More

You need to be fit to manage the long flight of steps with luggage. Accommodation very good. Lack of service lets it down. Very poor selection of breakfast ( you pay for B&B) and no promotion of NZ specialty foods. If you stay longer than 2 days no housekeeping done other than removing dirty dishes.

We stayed two nights at the Crescent Guest House. The b&b is convenient to town and for catching the bus. There were many stairs to go up and down, so be sure to remember everything that is in your car. Brad and Sue were very nice and helped us with everything we needed. We had our own balcony/deck area which... More

Enough said about the steps, Wellington is basically a hilly town but the view is fabulous. Sue is a great host, ensuring you have all you need with great privacy as well. A bus service operates very close to the property into the city so you can keep walking to a minimum if you wish.

The location of this B&B can be a problem for older people with heavy luggage. It lives up to its description in every way and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The flights of steps are fine until the day you depart! We had help from friends who lived close by. Installation of a hoist in the future would solve all... More

A good place to stay, though there are about 70 steps up and down to the house, no mean feat with a heavy suitcase but Sue is happy to help carry. Breakfast is DIY with Sue providing the ingredients although space to make your breakfast is very bijou! Great bathroom.

We stayed at the Crescent Guest House on a quick trip to Wellington for a wedding, and to be honest it felt criminal to have not spent more time at the property because it was so spectacular. The view of the harbour was incredible, the balcony was huge and the barbeque was just begging for a feast to turn out.... More

We have stayed three times now at The Crescent guest house. The location is perfect with a bus stop nearby or walking distance to Te Papa Museum. The view is great to watch the ferrys and tankers go by. The decor is pleasing and the bed comfortable. The space provided everything we needed.

We stayed at the Crescent Guest House for two weeks in July. It was the middle of winter but the purpose-built room was warm and provided great harbour views no matter what the weather. The room is very well appointed, and everything has been thought of. The interior design is stunning and very relaxing at the same time. A painting... More
