Considering we stayed at hostels all over the country... this one was the worst!! The carpets were musty and the loo had a pretty bad stench. The people were nice however. But considering you get bad sleep, the people cant change your views of the place!

There is no free Wifi but there is a Mac Donalds next door and a supermarket (expensive) across the road. The people sitting at the reception weren't really friendly and really short to us when we had questions. The breakfast as well the one of 5$ as the one of 8$ is really good value for money. I only stayed 1 night in the dorm. it was clean, well-kept even just a dorm. no doubt, the location is strategically situated..... i had good stay there....good sleep... staffs are polite, professional, attentive, providing good service.

Two of us stayed in a private twin shared bathroom. The hostel is very large, it felt a bit like an old hotel. Booked a Superior Double room. Nothing superior about this room. Prices high in all other hotels because of rugby game nearby, Bed was awful. Room very small and no different to other Double rooms. Sky TV had few channels and other guests extremely noisy arriving at their rooms very late at night,

More than adequate room, with friendly staff. Highlight is the location - near train station, so perfect for early morning departure and for late afternoon arrival via InterIslander Ferry shuttle bus. Close to Cable Car, Waterfront walk and Te Papa Museum. Added bonus, is McDonalds just a few steps away. Would gladly stay here again.

A nice place great lounge, not very personal, but god for an overnight stay, great location for train and ferries not so close to town about 15 min walk, staff were lovely, free wifi in macdolalds just next door, and col bar. I would go back.
