Very warm welcome from John who assisted us carrying our luggage up the steps to the most wonderful characterful property in a superb location ( minute walk to the cable car for either straight into the centre or up to the Botanic gardens) if taking the ferry for an onward journey its probably worth considering dropping off your hire car... If you search a lovely host with a lot of good ideas of what is worth to be seen or where you can have a delicious meal, all that you can get at Lambton Heights and even more: our room was very nice with a new bathroom and a lovely veranda with a great view over Wellington.

This gem is tucked away up on the winding hill, just next to downtown. The neighborhood is safe and easy to navigate - especially with John's maps and directions! The most relaxing beautiful place. John and Cushla are so friendly and share themselves. Spacious rooms with amazing linen. Breakfast, hot apples, pears, strawberries, a selection of museli, anything you ask for although I could not fit the bacon eggs and tomatoes. What a treat. A very Special Place.
