We were on the 6th floor with quite a view of the devastated city. Didn't realise they were having aftershocks every day so we were a bit nervous being so high. I regularly stay here on business, usually 1 or 2 nights for each visit. I prefer these apartments as they are as close to the 'closed off' CBD area as is possible - this won't be to everyone's taste as you have a bird's eye view of the damage and destruction and can regularly hear the demolition activity sometimes early... Staying long term in a 2 bedroom apt. It is small by US standards, but well appointed and you cannot beat the location. The tram goes by outside but is not a bother and stops running at 9pm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. More
